He has performed as a recitalist, chamber musician, and soloist with many of the world’s leading orchestras and conductors including Zubin Mehta, Andrew Litton, Philippe Entremont, and Myung-Whun Chung. The New York Times praised Kim’s “brightest flashes of virtuosity and clear transparent quality,” and Gramophone, “his strength of character and personality.”
