Blog Post: A Special Thank You!
National Thank You Card Day is on December 26th, but some of the students who attend our school-time performance of The National Acrobats and Martial Artists of Tianjin decided to celebrate early by sending us the cutest thank you notes! Here are some of our personal favorites:
Now it is our turn to return the gesture. Tilles Center thanks everyone who helped contribute to making our 2017 a wonderful year for the arts and arts education. This past year had so much to offer.
We brought to you great speakers such as Neil deGrasse Tyson and President Bill Clinton. We had fun at great family performances such as Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and holiday favorite, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. We also had countless musicians come through such as Johnny Mathis Herbie Hancock, Blondie, Smokey Robinson, and so much more! We even got to bring the excitement of Broadway to the Tilles Center stage with A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder and a music revue of Of Thee I Sing. This was also our first year of summer programming that was filled with rock music, a battle of the bands and tons of fun!
We proudly presented multiple school-time performances and arts education workshops for students and families across the island!
2017 was also the year we truly started engaging with our audience on social media which was rewarding experience. We love hearing from you, sharing your experiences here and what you’d like to see!
As a non-profit organization, it is from generous contributions by our donors that we are able to bring the arts to Long Island year after year. Thank you to everyone who has supported us through the this past year and and the start of our current season. We are looking forward to seeing everyone continue to “Live it. Love it. Share it.” in the New Year!
