The grr-ific musical for little tigers and grown-ups alike is back! The hugely popular Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood LIVE!, based on the #1 PBS KIDS TV and Emmy Award- winning series that has delighted live audiences on stages across the country is back. Daniel Tiger and all of his friends are hopping back on board Trolley and coming to your town with DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD LIVE: KING FOR A DAY! Join Daniel, O the Owl, Miss Elaina, Katerina Kittycat, Prince Wednesday, and more familiar friends for a brand-new adventure in Neighborhood of Make-Believe where Daniel learns just what it takes to be King. The beloved characters come alive on stage to captivate you with new songs to sing along to, magical moments, and SURPRISE guests along the way! It’s an event filled with tigertastic fun, teaching the valuable lessons of kindness, helping others, and being a friend. Don’t miss Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood LIVE: King for a Day... a royally great time!
The live show features new songs as well as fan-favorites from the series, including the beloved “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” The live theatrical production is filled with music, dancing, and wonderful surprises that will warm the hearts of preschoolers, parents, and grandparents alike.

Relaxed Performances
This is a relaxed performance which may feature modified sound and light levels, specially adapted pre-performance materials, and quiet lobby areas with sensory toys for patrons who wish to move around.
These performances are “non-shushing” and provide a comfortable environment for individuals on the autism spectrum and those who may have limited movement, sensory and/or complex communication needs.
Relaxed performances are open to all neurodivergent and neurotypical audiences and take place throughout the season as part of our Family Fun! series of performances.
Pre-Show Activities
Pre-show activities begin at 12:30 pm and are free for all ticket holders. Join us for games, crafts, puppet-making and more in the Goldsmith Atrium.

SECOND ANNUAL TILLES JAZZ FEST ANNOUNCED
Following the resounding success of its inaugural year, Tilles Center for the Performing Arts is thrilled to announce the second annual Tilles Jazz Fest, presented in collaboration with Jazz at Lincoln Center, taking place Saturday, July 19, 2025. This all-day celebration of jazz will unfold across the scenic and historic Long Island University Post campus, with indoor and outdoor performances from 1 PM into the evening, culminating in headline performances by legendary trumpeter and ten-time Grammy winner Arturo Sandoval and acclaimed vocalist/guitarist John Pizzarelli with his Big Band. Tickets are on presale to Tilles Center members now, and go on sale to the public April 24. -
ABT PRINCIPAL DANCER MISTY COPELAND MAKES TILLES CENTER DEBUT
Tilles Center for the Performing Arts at Long Island University is proud to host An Evening with Misty Copeland on Saturday, April 26 at 7:30 pm. This one-night-only event will see Ms. Copeland, ABT’s first Black female principal dancer, author, and philanthropist, in conversation with screenwriter, author and producer, Susan Fales-Hill, as Copeland speaks about her legendary career. Dance performances will also be included, featuring members of the prestigious American Ballet Theatre Studio Company, of which Copeland is an alumna, and students of Copeland’s BE BOLD program. Proceeds in part from An Evening with Misty Copeland will benefit the Misty Copeland Foundation (MCF) and its signature BE BOLD program, which will also hold special master classes for Long Island students at LIU on April 26.
