Supported by the Carnegie Hall Ensemble, Michael Feinstein pays a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Tony Bennett, bringing his iconic songs to life in a symphony of sound. Michael Feinstein’s close friendship with Tony Bennett adds a profound layer to this tribute, as their camaraderie brings authenticity and depth to each note performed.
The performance will feature hits such as “Because of You,” “Rags to Riches,” “I Left My Heart in San Francisco,” “The Best is Yet To Come,” “I Get a Kick Out of You,” “Stranger in Paradise” and many more. Feinstein’s dynamic interpretations will create an unforgettable night that honors the legacy of Tony Bennett in all its glory.
About Michael Feinstein
Michael Feinstein has built a dazzling career over the last three decades bringing the music of the Great American songbook to the world. From recordings that have earned him five Grammy Award nominations to his Emmy nominated PBS-TV specials, his acclaimed NPR series and concerts spanning the globe – in addition to his appearances at iconic venues such as The White House, Buckingham Palace, Hollywood Bowl, Carnegie Hall and Sydney Opera House – his work as an educator and archivist define Feinstein as one of the most important musical forces of our time.

Marc Courtade is a retired arts administrator with over 30 years experience in leadership roles. He continues as a frequent speaker all over Long Island and the Tri-State area on Broadway Musicals, Opera and Great Performers. He is a teaching artist with Patchogue Arts Council’ PEACE Program, specializing in musicals with social content to middle and high school students. Marc teaches courses on Opera and Broadway Musicals for the Frick Estate Lectures at Nassau County Museum of Art, specializing in Musicals and Opera, and has lead Reading & Discussion programs for NY Humanities, focusing on race relations in classic musicals and their literary source materials. A lifelong fan of musicals and opera, Marc can be often be found attending performances, enjoying and learning more about the art forms he loves.

SECOND ANNUAL TILLES JAZZ FEST ANNOUNCED
Following the resounding success of its inaugural year, Tilles Center for the Performing Arts is thrilled to announce the second annual Tilles Jazz Fest, presented in collaboration with Jazz at Lincoln Center, taking place Saturday, July 19, 2025. This all-day celebration of jazz will unfold across the scenic and historic Long Island University Post campus, with indoor and outdoor performances from 1 PM into the evening, culminating in headline performances by legendary trumpeter and ten-time Grammy winner Arturo Sandoval and acclaimed vocalist/guitarist John Pizzarelli with his Big Band. Tickets are on presale to Tilles Center members now, and go on sale to the public April 24. -
ABT PRINCIPAL DANCER MISTY COPELAND MAKES TILLES CENTER DEBUT
Tilles Center for the Performing Arts at Long Island University is proud to host An Evening with Misty Copeland on Saturday, April 26 at 7:30 pm. This one-night-only event will see Ms. Copeland, ABT’s first Black female principal dancer, author, and philanthropist, in conversation with screenwriter, author and producer, Susan Fales-Hill, as Copeland speaks about her legendary career. Dance performances will also be included, featuring members of the prestigious American Ballet Theatre Studio Company, of which Copeland is an alumna, and students of Copeland’s BE BOLD program. Proceeds in part from An Evening with Misty Copeland will benefit the Misty Copeland Foundation (MCF) and its signature BE BOLD program, which will also hold special master classes for Long Island students at LIU on April 26.
