The Tortoise and the Hare
Best for Ages 4 +
Slow and steady wins the race in this classic tale about the over-confident hare and the patient turtle. This experience includes a puppetry workshop after the performance! Workshops include a material list in advance that will all be objects easily found in your home or classroom (such as construction paper, markers, crayons, toilet paper roll, etc). Participants will enjoy the easy step-by-step instruction and walk away with not only a puppet, but how to magically make that puppet come to life!

Founded in 2009 by husband and wife duo Z. Briggs and Chad Williams, WonderSpark Puppets performs for family audiences of all ages. Together with their performing partners, they put on over 400 shows annually in the pre-COVID New York Metropolitan Area. WonderSpark is proud to continue the tradition of non-moving-mouth hand puppets, aka “Mister Rogers style”. From theaters to libraries, NYC shops and school classrooms, WonderSpark’s flexibility allows them to perform in any space.
For 10 years WonderSpark volunteered at the Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital in Manhattan, bringing laughter and joy to the patients, parents and staff.
