Presented by Maestro Panacciulli and the Nassau Pops Symphony Orchestra. A benefit concert for Cerebral Palsy of Nassau County.
Please note this is not a Tilles Center event, and tickets are not available through the Tantleff Box Office at Tilles Center.
Tony Danza and his four-piece band will perform their hit show, Tony Danza: Standards & Stories, along with The Nassau Pops Symphony Orchestra. This performance is a benefit concert for Cerebral Palsy of Nassau County and is sponsored by Jovia Financial Credit Union. All ticket proceeds will be donated to the charity.
Combining timeless music with wit, charm, storytelling, and a dash of soft shoe and ukulele performances, Tony Danza, his band, and The Nassau Pops Symphony Orchestra will perform a selection of Danza’s favorite standards from the “Great American Songbook” while interweaving stories about his life and personal connection to the music.

SECOND ANNUAL TILLES JAZZ FEST ANNOUNCED
Following the resounding success of its inaugural year, Tilles Center for the Performing Arts is thrilled to announce the second annual Tilles Jazz Fest, presented in collaboration with Jazz at Lincoln Center, taking place Saturday, July 19, 2025. This all-day celebration of jazz will unfold across the scenic and historic Long Island University Post campus, with indoor and outdoor performances from 1 PM into the evening, culminating in headline performances by legendary trumpeter and ten-time Grammy winner Arturo Sandoval and acclaimed vocalist/guitarist John Pizzarelli with his Big Band. Tickets are on presale to Tilles Center members now, and go on sale to the public April 24. -
ABT PRINCIPAL DANCER MISTY COPELAND MAKES TILLES CENTER DEBUT
Tilles Center for the Performing Arts at Long Island University is proud to host An Evening with Misty Copeland on Saturday, April 26 at 7:30 pm. This one-night-only event will see Ms. Copeland, ABT’s first Black female principal dancer, author, and philanthropist, in conversation with screenwriter, author and producer, Susan Fales-Hill, as Copeland speaks about her legendary career. Dance performances will also be included, featuring members of the prestigious American Ballet Theatre Studio Company, of which Copeland is an alumna, and students of Copeland’s BE BOLD program. Proceeds in part from An Evening with Misty Copeland will benefit the Misty Copeland Foundation (MCF) and its signature BE BOLD program, which will also hold special master classes for Long Island students at LIU on April 26.
